It's Not Easy Being Green We have a bit of an environmental policy. We think all businesses can do something. It doesn't have to be monumental, but in the end, it all adds up. Less Waste: We encourage people to not take a bag with their purchase if possible. We also encourage people staying in to enjoy their drinks in ceramic mugs, rather than disposable. Many of our paper products including napkins, take away bags and paper towels throughout the store are all made from unbleached, recycled materials. We also recycle everything we can, most plastics & tins cans, glass, milk jugs & cardboard as well as all beverage containers. You can also purchase handsome Stone's Throw Cafe travel mugs and receive your first beverage free. One Man's Junk... Can be your treasure! If you compost or garden, we will supply you with coffee grounds to enrich your soil. Also, if you have rabbits or pigs or other barnyard 'pets' who would like vegetarian trimmings and peelings, we can help you out there too. A Bright Idea: Almost our entire building is lit with compact fluorescent bulbs. Don't believe us? We don't mind if you peek. It Pays to be Green: Bring in your own travel mug and we'll fill it for the cost of a small coffee. That's a savings for you of 30 cents on just one coffee. That adds up if we see you on a regular basis
